My name is Emily Pearce and I have the privilege of being a fifth grade teacher to a unbelievable group of students in Grand Rapids Michigan. Being a young teacher I found myself wanting a place to display my triumphs and difficulties in the classroom. Designing this website has allowed me to put what I’ve learned all in one place. Not only is this a growing artifact for me, but hopefully will inspire and help other teachers as well. Since even before I started teaching people would pose the question “Why do you even want to be a teacher?” As I continue to build, add, change and grow this website reminds me of the joy I feel in the classroom and the passion I have for teaching my students.
